Job summary

System One is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in San Antonio, TX for a 6-month contract opportunity with potential direct hire. The role covers full-cycle AP activities, invoice matching, lien waivers, and vendor communications to support project teams.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 1 year of accounting experience, with strong Excel and MS Office skills. Onsite schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year experience in accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel (beginner/intermediate) and Microsoft Office (Teams and Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• Deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including matching invoices, receivers, and purchase orders.
• Obtain invoice approval, lien waivers, and letters of credit.
• Verify approved insurance and bonds.
• Respond to assigned queries accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely communication.
• Research source documents and prepare basic accounting reports.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and develop positive relationships with vendors, procurement, and project management teams.
• Complete special projects as assigned by the manager.
• Maintain rental tracking spreadsheets and monitor the status of lien waivers from subcontractors and vendors.
• Participate in Invoice Transaction Log meetings and update logs accordingly.
