Position Objective

Analyze accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Maintain accounts payable system to ensure timely payments are made to vendors.

• Resolve supplier and invoice inquiries promptly.
• Review invoice coding and approvals for accuracy.
• Analyze supplier statements for past due invoices/credits.
• Monitor AP system for accurate invoice transfer to ERP.
• Ensure approval matrices are accurate.
• Serve as backup for Accounts Payable Specialist.
• Perform period-end account reconciliations.
• Assist with invoice accruals during period-end.
• Analyze vendor payment data for KPIs.
• Review T&E and purchasing card expenses.
• Complete annual 1099 reporting.
• Support internal and external audits.

Human Resources

• Comply with HR policies and employment laws.

Other Duties

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A combination of skills and knowledge preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
• 3-5 years of accounts payable experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative to resolve issues and suggest improvements.
• Proficiency with automated accounting systems.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of PC and spreadsheet software.
