A well-established staffing company is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to support the team with invoice entry and vendor communication. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of high-volume entry experience, an accounting background, and strong analytical skills. This remote position offers flexible hours and involves tasks such as GL coding, PO matching, and direct vendor contact to resolve discrepancies.
Job Description: Assisting team with tasks to complete AP items, including Excel entry, with flexibility as tasks may change. Responsibilities include entering numerous invoices, communicating with vendors via phone, and looking up invoice items. The ideal candidate is adaptable to change, learns quickly, and is comfortable working on various projects.
Must haves:
Additional responsibilities include entering key invoices and credits into the Oracle AP module, knowledge of GL coding, PO matching, and invoice entry for both Non-PO and PO transactions. Attention to detail, accuracy, strong analytical and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Excel, especially functions like VLOOKUP, is required. The role involves contacting vendors to resolve discrepancies and recover negative balances.
All associates will perform duties as requested by management. The candidate must retain information and be adaptable to change.
This role is remote, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm EST, with flexible hours to be discussed during the interview. The position includes a 20-minute unpaid lunch break.
