Job summary

Responsibilities

• Own AP process: invoice processing, coding, approvals, ACH, checks, reimbursements.
• Manage vendor relationships and records; ensure accurate, timely payments.
• Handle AR billing, collections and reconciliations across programs.
• Prepare bank, AP/AR and GL reconciliations; support month-end close.
• Utilize Concur to manage accounting workflows and records.
• Support cash controls, accruals, journal entries and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with staff to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Work with CFO and may take on additional responsibilities over time.

Established organization that supports people in need, adding an AP/AR Accountant to its team. Great opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning payables and having exposure to AR and general accounting. The organization has recently modernized its accounting systems and streamlined all AP and AR.

Responsibilities - AP/AR Accountant

• Own AP process, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, ACH, checks and reimbursements

• Prepare bank, AP/AR and GL reconciliations and support month-end close

• Partner with employees throughout the organization to answer questions and improve accounting processes
