Job summary

Titan Talent Acquisition is partnering with a client in the Center Line area that is looking to add an experienced AP Accountant to their team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Accounts Payable experience and a strong background managing invoices, vendor accounts, reconciliations, and payment processing. Previous experience within the construction industry is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience required.
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, vendor management, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
• Ability to handle a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, coding, and payment preparation.
• Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and appropriate account coding.
• Process vendor payments accurately and within established deadlines.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation.
• Communicate directly with vendors regarding invoice and payment questions.
• Research and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end Accounts Payable reconciliation and closing activities.
• Maintain organized and accurate AP records.
• Work closely with accounting, operations, and other internal departments to resolve payment-related issues.

This position is a good fit for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage a high volume of AP activity accurately and efficiently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
