Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting is required.
• Bachelor's in accounting is preferred and considered an asset.
• Must show sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries for assigned accounts according to schedule.
• Maintains Imprest Fund and related policies.
• Reviews trial balance to locate and resolve errors.
• Maintains center records, ledgers, and journals for financial status.
• Transmits payroll hours to Corporate Payroll and backups bookkeeper as needed.
• Maintains SGA checking accounts and reports.
• Analyzes general ledger accounts, compiles transactions, and interprets trends.
• Trains bookkeeper in account coding and inventory controls.
• Maintains inventory systems and conducts quarterly counts.
• Fill in for Finance Manager as needed.
• Prepares reports (e.g., 1034 billing voucher, 2110 financial report).
• Makes weekly bank deposits and prepares reconciliations.
• Prepares petty cash and AP requests; handles AP vouchers.
