Job summary

Big Rock Machining Co. is seeking a dependable, hands-on Shop Support Technician to assist with shipping, receiving, packaging, material handling, shop upkeep, and general manufacturing support.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, staying organized, and helping wherever needed. Daily tasks include building shipping crates, preparing products for shipment, receiving materials, moving supplies, light maintenance, and keeping the shop clean and ready for production.

Qualifications

• Dependable attendance and reliable work ethic.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with data entry, math, and basic accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Enter supplier invoices and match bills to POs, receiving records, and supporting documents.
• Prepare and send customer invoices with required backup; record AR and apply receipts as assigned.
• Follow up on overdue invoices, document responses, and escalation disputes or concerns to Marcy.
• Prepare POs from approved requirements and send them only as authorized by Marcy.
• Track supplier acknowledgments and delivery dates; flag delays, changes, and missing information.
• Prepare payment support, collect payroll information, and assist with HR and onboarding paperwork.
• Answer occasional calls, handle correspondence, and keep office and transaction records organized.
• Protect confidential information and follow company procedures, approval limits, and QMS requirements.
