Job summary

The Everett Housing Authority is seeking an Accounting Technician to support the Finance team with accounts payable, tenant accounting, and financial recordkeeping on-site in Everett, WA.

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, you will prepare reconciliations, generate reports, and maintain spreadsheets while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of financial data in a union, non-exempt environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication, composition, grammar, spelling, and math skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to create complex spreadsheets.
• Ability to manage vendor and tenant accounts and reconcile ledgers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and verify coding.
• Process printed checks and bank deposits.
• Reconcile vendor statements and tenant ledgers.
• Handle tenant ACH rents, payments, and deposits; run reports as needed.
• Prepare financial spreadsheets, schedules, and reconciliations.
