Job summary

The State of Alaska’s Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Central Region, is seeking an Accounting Technician 1 to support timekeeping and budgeting tasks in Anchorage. This role processes Time & Equipment timesheets in IRIS and assists the Budget Section with financial activities across divisions.

Applicants should have a strong grounding in accounting principles, data entry, and clerical skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and the full accounting cycle.
• Proficiency in data entry, filing, typing, and record keeping.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process Time & Equipment timesheets in IRIS, including ICT document handling.
• Provide budget support to Administrative Officer 1 and Budget Analyst 2.
• Assist with financial activities across Design, Engineering & Construction and other regions as needed.
