Accounting Tech/AP to provide support to the financial department as part of a cohesive team, job descriptions are not all inclusive of every duty or responsibility but a guideline for the focus of the position. All positions are part of a team of professionals who are working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances. Daily tasks, special projects and other duties assigned may vary depending on the needs of the company, so flexibility is a necessity.Job Duties:Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.Responsible for accurately entering and coding and keeping record of all invoices.Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.Ensuring bills, vendor invoices, and credit cards are approved, entered and paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and ensuring discounts and other charges.Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts.Monitor tax liabilities and ensure they are entered on time.Work collaboratively with various departments to perform accounting audits and investigating discrepancies.Analyzing A/P process to find ways to increase efficiency.Maintaining Vendor information accurately for 1009’sComplete 1099’s at year end.Reconcile supplier statements for accuracy and discrepancies.Preparation of month end review and reconciliation.Requirements and skills:Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable.Excellent organizational skills.Great attention to detail.Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.Knowledge of NetSuite would be preferred, but not required.Degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field are a plus, but not required.
