American Income Life is seeking an Accounting Support Specialist to join our team in Waco, Texas. This hybrid position supports agent accounting operations through payment processing, reporting, and general ledger maintenance with accuracy and service excellence.

You will work with agents, agencies, and executive management to ensure timely, precise accounting and quality customer service, while developing new reports and procedures to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in Agency Administration, Agent Licensing, or Agency Accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Access with advanced formulas and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Process agent advance and bonus payments and load expense recoveries.
• Provide detailed field-facing reports on agent payments.
• Review agent ledger balances for errors and implement corrections.
• Create and maintain databases, tables, and spreadsheets for reports.
• Develop new reports with management based on department needs.
• Cross-train to cover workload during absences.
• Process journal entries to the general ledger and review for accuracy.
• Issue manual payments and support other accounting tasks as needed.
• Assist with testing system changes and validate results.
• Communicate with agents, agencies, and management via calls, email, and written correspondence.

American Income Life is looking for an Accounting Support Specialist to join the team!In this role, you will be responsible for supporting agent accounting operations through payment processing, reporting, and general ledger maintenance. You will serve as a key point of contact for agents, agencies, and executive management while delivering accurate, timely accounting support and quality customer service.This is a hybrid position located in Waco, TX.What You Will Do:Process agent advance and bonus payments, load expense recoveries on agent accounts, and provide detailed field-facing reports regarding agent payments.Independently review agent ledger balances for errors, present accounting and processing solutions to management, and execute corrections.Create and maintain databases, tables, and spreadsheets to track assigned reports efficiently and accurately.Develop and generate new reports and recaps in collaboration with management based on department needs.Conduct thorough reviews and maintenance of existing reports and functions, including creating detailed written procedures.Cross-train with team members to ensure workload coverage during absences.Process journal entries to the general ledger and review system-generated accounting for accuracy.Issue manual payments and support additional accounting functions as needed.Assist with testing system changes that impact the department, including creating testing documentation and validating results.Communicate with agents, agencies, and executive management via telephone, teleconferencing, email, fax, and written correspondence.What You Can Bring:High school diploma or equivalent required.One year of experience in Agency Administration, Agent Licensing, or Agency Accounting preferred.Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, including advanced skills in complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, IF statements, conditional formatting, and creating and maintaining databases.Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including the ability to write formulas to calculate payments based on established guidelines.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently research solutions for challenging tasks.Ability to understand and apply a variety of oral and written instructions and make independent decisions within established guidelines.Strong communication skills, including proper grammar, word usage, and punctuation in both written and verbal communication.Ability to remain focused on repetitive or routine tasks in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.How American Income Life Will Support You:Looking to continue your career in an environment that values your contribution and invests in your growth?
