American Income Life is hiring an Accounting Support Specialist in a hybrid role based in Waco, TX. You will support agent accounting operations through payments, reporting, and general ledger maintenance, serving as a key contact for agents, agencies, and executives.

The position emphasizes accurate, timely accounting support and strong customer service, with opportunities to develop processes and achieve cross-functional collaboration across the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in Agency Administration, Agent Licensing, or Agency Accounting preferred.
• Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access, including advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently within established guidelines.
• Strong communication skills in written and verbal form.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process agent payments and load expense recoveries with detailed reports.
• Independently review agent ledger balances for errors and propose corrections.
• Create and maintain databases, tables, and spreadsheets to track reports.
• Develop and generate new reports in collaboration with management.
• Document procedures and cross-train team members.
• Process journal entries to the general ledger and review for accuracy.
• Assist with testing system changes and prepare testing documentation.
• Communicate with agents, agencies, and executive management via multiple channels.
