Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking an Accounting Supervisor in Columbus, OH. This full-time role oversees the accounting and office administrative teams, manages payables and receivables, and supports the General Manager and Regional Accounting Manager with financial analyses.

You will supervise AR/AP, ensure proper invoicing, conduct margin-focused reporting, and coordinate month-end activities, while training staff on MEI’s systems and processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Ability to train others and lead teams.
• Familiarity with MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead project accounting efforts with emphasis on margin analysis.
• Supervise AR processes including invoicing, collections, and lien waivers.
• Oversee AP processes including purchasing and cost accounting.
• Coordinate month-end / quarter-end processes with regional managers.
• Generate timely financial reports as needed and support data requests.
• Train staff on MEI systems and coordinate process improvements.
• Perform variance analyses monthly.
• Review orders and manage credit approvals and limits.
• Oversee payroll reporting for multiple insurance programs.
• Assist with warehousing billings and act as backup for accounting team.
• Travel as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
