Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking an Accounting Administrator in Columbus, OH to coordinate accounting administration and operational duties. You will support AP/AR processes, vendor onboarding, data entry, and month-end close activities while interfacing with regional and corporate teams.

The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher in accounting, business, finance or similar is highly preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in office accounting (AR, AP, bookkeeping) is preferred.
• Experience with accounting software and strong Excel/data entry skills are desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and submit to Corporate AP for timely remittance.
• Reconcile and retain employee credit card transactions and related documentation.
• Assist with new vendor setup and credit applications; collect W-9s or other docs; submit for credit determination.
• Perform accurate data entry into accounting systems to track materials, services, or goods.
• Identify discrepancies and collaborate with managers and vendors to resolve issues.
