Job summary

MEI is seeking an Accounting Manager in Chantilly, VA to oversee the accounting department and ensure GAAP compliance. You will manage AR/AP, perform monthly variance analysis, and partner with the General Manager on financial insights.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in accounting and 3+ years of supervisory experience. Strong Excel skills and confidentiality are essential. This is a full-time on-site position with MEI.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s in Accounting or combination of education and experience to demonstrate understanding of accounting principles.
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of CCIP/ ROCIP set up for customers and certified payroll.
• Strong Excel and data entry skills; proficiency with Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the accounting department with a focus on margin analysis.
• Supervise AR and AP processes, invoicing, collections and vendor discounts.
• Coordinate month-end close with Corporate Office and report on job margins and utilization.
• Provide monthly financial analysis and variance explanations to the General Manager.
