Job summary

Our client is seeking a Corporate Accounting Supervisor to lead month-end close, prepare financial statements, and manage multi-entity accounting in a hybrid Illinois role. You will mentor staff, improve controls, and partner with senior leadership to drive process improvements and GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting or public accounting.
• Previous supervisory or mentoring experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience in multi-entity or complex corporate environments is a plus.
• CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and variances.
• Support corporate accounting across entities, including consolidations and intercompany.
• Strengthen internal controls, improve processes and pursue automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Finance and leadership to resolve accounting matters.
• Assist with external audits and special projects as needed.

• Support corporate accounting activities across multiple entities, including consolidations and intercompany transactions.
• Strengthen internal controls, improve accounting processes, and identify opportunities for automation and greater efficiency.
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance and other business leaders to resolve accounting matters and support organizational initiatives.
• Assist with external audits, technical accounting matters, and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting or public accounting experience.
