RSM US LLP is seeking a Supervisor in our Accounting and Finance Consulting practice with a focus on general accounting. The role involves supervising full cycle accounting, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate ledgers to support client objectives.

The ideal candidate has a BS/BA in accounting, 3+ years of experience, strong Excel skills, and solid GAAP knowledge. Some travel and a discretionary bonus are part of the package.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands‑on full cycle accounting with solid financial reporting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software packages.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and month‑end close processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Support the AFC team on various accounting projects.
• Demonstrate basic to intermediate knowledge of complex financial accounting concepts.
• Supervise the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, data validation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into financial performance.
• Understand and apply debits and credits, posting journal entries to maintain the general ledger.
• Execute and oversee the month‑end close process for timely, accurate reporting.
• Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and insights.
• Supervise and review balance sheet reconciliations and payroll accounting.
• Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls through audits.
• Establish and maintain accounting systems for accurate reporting.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance accounting processes for efficiency.
