The ideal candidate holds a BS/BA in Accounting with 3+ years of hands-on experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on full-cycle accounting with solid financial reporting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the AFC team on various accounting projects.
• Demonstrate basic to intermediate knowledge of complex financial accounting concepts.
• Supervise the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, data validation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to assess the company’s financial performance.
• Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger with accurate debits and credits.
• Oversee the month-end close process for timely financial reporting.
• Review financial statements to provide insights and ensure accuracy.
• Supervise balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounts.
• Oversee payroll accounting and related monthly reconciliations.
• Demonstrate advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and generate reports.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff on accounting principles.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls with auditors.
• Establish and maintain accounting systems for accurate reporting.
• Continuously improve accounting processes for efficiency.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
