Job description

TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Job Summary: This is an entry-level supervisor position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a 5-10 person department within our Accounting area. The Supervisor will also assist with financial processing tasks within the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and verify various daily and monthly financial reports.
  2. Assist with daily and month-end financial processing requirements, including creating and maintaining complex reconciliation spreadsheets.
  3. Research and process financial adjustments, including check NSFs and credit card chargebacks.
  4. Provide supervisory support to staff within the Accounting Department.
  5. Perform miscellaneous tasks, including training and support to other Departments.
  6. Perform QA/QC on staff work.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good analytical skills to identify trends and patterns.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products in a networked environment.

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
