About the Role:
As CBRE Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing oversight of a team that maintains a client's financial statements.
This job falls within our General Accounting job function. They are responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures.
What You'll Do:
- This is a full-time, remote opportunity.
- The starting compensation for this position ranges between $64,500 - $67,000 annually.
- This position is bonus eligible with benefits starting the first day of hire!
- Next available starting dates 5/27/2025 and 6/12/2025
What You'll Do:- Provide supervision, performance reviews, and mentorship to team members.
- Examine and check other team member's work for accuracy and completeness. Identify training needs of subordinate staff and provide technical guidance.
- Review incoming cash transactions, making sure it aligns with financial records. Oversee the billing, investigation, and resolution of payment issues.
- Review reports for income, balance sheet statements, and financial schedules.
- Verify accounting records are correct and categorized. Assist with in month-end procedures.
- Answer and troubleshoot difficult internal client requests and questions.
- Review the team's billing and invoicing entries in accounting databases for accuracy. Research and resolve complex accounts receivable issues.
- Prepare and review accounting data to discover how it can affect financial situations. Collaborate with team and customers to help achieve goals and timelines.
- Participate in special projects and companywide initiatives.
- Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
- Establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
- Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus.

- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience.
- In-depth understanding of accounting fundamentals, required.
- Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
- Confidence in working with Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
- Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
