Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a direct-hire role in North San Diego. The position covers accounts payable and receivable, purchase order processing, and general accounting support.

You will liaise with customers, handle invoicing, and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in accounting support, strong QuickBooks/ERP skills, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in an accounting clerk/AP/AR or similar role.
• Strong AP/AR knowledge and process proficiency.
• Basic payroll and tax understanding.

Responsibilities

• Process customer purchase orders, invoicing, shipping paperwork, and related docs.
• Manage accounts receivable activities: invoicing, payment posting, collections, reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and general accounting tasks, bank deposits, and recordkeeping.
• Research and resolve invoice, payment, PO, and customer account discrepancies.
• Assist with multi-state sales tax reporting and interdepartmental coordination.
• Provide administrative support and document organization.
