Job summary

Leisure World of Maryland Corporation is seeking an Accounting Specialist for a full-time role (40 hours/week) with a weekday schedule (8:00 am–4:30 pm). Starting pay ranges from $51,750 to $57,000 annually, with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, and 401(k).

The role provides accounting support to accountants and supervisory staff, handling AP/AR, reconciliations, deposits, and data entry, while delivering strong resident service and accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in accounting or related field with 2–4 years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 0–2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Key in resales of unit ownership into records.
• Key in Mutual receipts and Trust receipts.
• Prepare and process owner refunds and reapply payments.
• Complete monthly delinquency process and reconcile accounts.
• Perform AP and AR duties; serve as AR backup.
• Prepare bank deposits and general ledger postings.
• Distribute association financials and delinquency reports.
• Provide customer service to residents and accountants.
