Position Overview

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing and processing payment transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with monthly financial reporting. The role focuses on Accounts Payable but also involves Accounts Receivable, so experience in both areas is essential.

Key characteristics include strong organizational skills, attention to detail, good relationship skills, and a willingness to learn new software, tools, and programs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage accounts payable to ensure bills are paid timely and accurately
• Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as reconciliation and recording entries
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
• Review and improve financial processes for efficiency
• Analyze reports and present findings to management
• Support Accounts Receivable functions with a proven track record

Qualifications and Skills

• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with accounting software and reporting tools
• Self-motivated and process-oriented
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent relationship skills

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, including AP and AR
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (required)
• Certified ProAdvisor (preferred but not required)
