Role: Senior Accountant (Temporary)

Pay Rate: $45-$50/hr
Location: *Fully Remote - must be able to work EST Hours*

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative accounting professional to support core financial operations, including the monthly close process, account reconciliations, and M&A due diligence. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and supporting junior staff in day-to-day accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Manage the full-cycle monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance (flux) analysis.
• 
  Review prepaid expenses and ensure income statement accounts are properly booked and revenue is accurately recognized.
• 
  Provide oversight and support to junior accounting staff by reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable entries for accuracy and completeness.
• 
  Assist in gathering documentation and supporting materials for due diligence efforts related to ongoing mergers and acquisitions.
• 
  Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and other departments to gain insight into business processes and support ad hoc financial projects as needed.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred.
• 
  Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or audit.
• 
  Experience in a SaaS environment strongly preferred.
• 
  Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets required.
• 
  Proficiency in NetSuite is required.
• 
  Experience with data visualization tools such as Preset or Tableau is a plus.
