Job summary

Meaden & Moore is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support accounting operations and financial reporting through analysis, reconciliations, month-end close, and maintaining accurate records. You will play a key role in ensuring timely and precise financial results for a growing firm.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, or monthly financial reports preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.

  • Analyze financial results and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.

Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Accounting Specialist that supports accounting operations and financial reporting activities by analysis, reconciliations, month-end close support, and maintenance of accurate financial records. This role serves as a key contributor to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting function.

Responsibilities
  • Process and maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions
  • Prepare and post routine journal entries and perform account reconciliations

  • Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and recommend solutions
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems

Benefits/Compensation

Determining actual compensation relies on many factors including individual candidate experience, qualifications, and comparable benchmarks. Base compensation for this role typically ranges between $26.50 - $33.00 an hour.
