Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of verifiable related experience in accounting or governmental accounting.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with DEP personnel and vendors.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles and practices.
• Prepare, analyze, and report financial data and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Work with GAAP accounting records and monitor revenue, disbursements, and expenditures.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and provide recommendations to management.
• Pre-audit and process payments and vouchers in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Research financial transactions and correct errors in the state financial system.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly compliance reviews of department transactions.
