Job summary

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is seeking an Accounting Services Analyst B in Tallahassee to audit expenditures, reconcile financial records, and gain proficiency in the Florida PALM system. You will support payroll redistribution, monitor property corrections, and assist with year-end accounting while upholding strong internal controls.

The role requires knowledge of accounting/auditing principles and Excel, with a Bachelor’s degree serving as a substitute for experience.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience in accounting, financial management, financial account management, auditing, or account reconciliation; or
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Audit and reconcile expenditures in the Financial Management Unit.
• Complete training and attain proficiency in the Florida PALM accounting system.
• Review expenditure moves for accuracy and completeness; log and correct errors.
• Investigate reconciliation items and collect correction entries with section managers.
• Process PALM module reconciliations and assist with Payroll redistribution.
• Monitor Property Pending corrections and update tracking logs; conduct revolving fund reconciliation.
• Assist in state fiscal year-end accounting requirements and serve as Access Control backup for FLAIR and PALM.
• Communicate risks and solutions to leadership; continually analyze internal processes.
