National Interstate Insurance Company is seeking an Accounting Representative III for its Richfield, OH office in a hybrid schedule. The role involves handling billing information, account reconciliation, and customer inquiries across multiple lines of insurance.

The position requires at least 6 years of accounting support experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred), and prior insurance industry exposure. On-site four days a week with one remote day is typical.

Core in‐office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.** **Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities*** Performs a variety of routine and non-routine clerical/accounting functions, in accordance with procedures. May provide support in one or more areas (i.e., direct bill, agency bill, general accounting, accounts receivable, etc.).* Provides billing information, account reconciliation, and billing problem resolution to internal and external customers involving multiple lines of insurance.* Utilizes working knowledge of multiple billing and/or policy applications and processing procedures to effectively service customer inquiries of a complex nature.* Requires inbound and outbound phone support. May follow-up on complex delinquent accounts including communication with collection agencies and other entities.* Reconcile payments/receipts with account information.* Fosters and builds relationships with other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems, using both written and/or verbal communication.* Prepares account analysis, reviewing the entire relationship across one or more billing systems.
