Accounting and Operations Manager – Mergers & Acquisitions

Pay Rate: $62/hour, part-time 30 hours/week with an opportunity to convert to a full-time employee.

Location: Onsite, Uptown Charlotte, NC. 3 to 5 days per week (5 days per week for conversion to full-time employment).

Length: July 7, 2025 to June 26, 2026.

We are seeking an Accounting and Operations Manager in Mergers & Acquisitions with over 10+ years of experience to support operations and accounting, including financial statements, compliance, transactions, expense management, technical support, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This individual will be supported by the current Accounting & Operations Manager and the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.
  • Perform general accounting activities, including preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements.
  • Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions, ensuring the integrity of records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variances.
  • Conduct or assist with various accounting, compliance, and HR projects.
  • Administer Expense System (Concur) and Card applications.
  • Book and reconcile non-broker-dealer activities.
  • Manage external bank administration, settlement, and bill pay initiation.
  • Oversee Client Deal & Listserv Administration.
  • Coordinate Performance Review Administration.
  • Perform other office/administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Management experience in Financial Services, Healthcare, or similar industry.
  • Ten (10) years of accounting/finance/compliance experience managing large groups/functions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Future Opportunities: Transition into a Full-Time role, including:

  • Securities license training.
  • BSA/AML reviews.
  • Client invoicing.
  • Other Broker-Dealer related support.
