Job summary

Sodexo Live! at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, month-end close, GAAP reporting, and internal controls within a fast-paced food and beverage environment.

You will partner with operations and department heads, manage AP/AR, and provide actionable financial analysis to support the unit’s performance, inventory accounting, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Experience in leadership roles in financial reporting.
• Retail or food service accounting experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills; GAAP and cost accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review GAAP-based financial statements and general ledger maintenance.
• Oversee AP/AR, vendor payments, and customer collections; reconcile vendor statements.
• Support inventory accounting and cost control in collaboration with operations.
• Analyze variances and provide actionable recommendations to management.
