Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting department's daily operations in Chantilly, VA. You will guide staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and support the General Manager with financial analysis.

You will drive project costing, margin analysis, and monthly reporting to corporate, while coordinating with the office and vendors to optimize costs and timing of hires.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's in Accounting or combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of CCIP, ROCIP for customers.
• Knowledge of certified payroll/prevailing wages.
• Advanced Excel and data entry skills with accuracy.
• Excellent written and oral communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead project accounting, track job costing and margins.
• Supervise AR process including invoicing, collections, lien waivers.
• Supervise AP process including purchasing and vendor discounts.
• Coordinate month-end with Corporate and GAAP reporting.
• Provide monthly reports on job margins, utilization of equipment/labor.
