Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Chantilly, VA seeks a Senior Accounting Administrator to support the Accounting Supervisor with coordinating accounting administration and regulatory compliance. The role analyzes data between the job tracking system and corporate accounting system to ensure accuracy and timely month-end reporting.

The position collaborates with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and project management teams, handling invoicing, financial analysis, and expense variance reviews.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred in accounting, business, or finance.
• 4+ years of recent office accounting experience (AR, AP; bookkeeping preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office; advanced Excel; strong data entry and accuracy.
• Understanding of 1099 compliance and vendor/independent contractor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate across accounting and leadership teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare data for large customer reporting and assist with project profitability data.
• Lead AR and AP activities, including reviewing invoices and accruals for month-end.
• Reconcile invoices with customer invoicing platforms and support audits.
