Solve Industrial Motion Group in Charlotte, NC seeks an Accounting Manager to lead monthly and year-end closes, ensure GAAP compliance, and develop a capable accounting team across locations. The role emphasizes accuracy, controls, and scalable practices within a growing organization.

The position focuses on inventory and cost accounting, process improvements, and tax coordination, partnering with the Corporate Controller to drive strong financial reporting and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 1+ years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research and communicate conclusions.
• Meaningful experience with inventory and cost accounting.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of monthly and year-end close, ensuring accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules across key accounts.
• Own the company’s general accounting processes and related policies under U.S. GAAP.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements.
• Lead and develop Accounting Team members and mentor staff.
• Play a key accounting role in mergers and acquisitions, including purchase accounting and post-close integration.
• Partner with acquired business and branch finance teams to ensure consistent close standards.
• Prepare and review ad hoc accounting analyses and technical accounting research.
• Support tax compliance and tax-related accounting activities with external resources.
• Support external audits and ERP/consolidation initiatives.
