Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager for Lending Products to own end-to-end accounting for prime financing and brokerage. You will lead a team through monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audits, ensuring accurate financials and SOX compliance.

You will collaborate across functions to translate SEC requirements into actionable accounting guidance and implement scalable controls as the business grows.

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 9+ years of progressive accounting experience in fintech or financial services.
• Direct experience with financing, lending, or prime brokerage accounting at a publicly traded company and familiarity with SEC reporting.
• Proven ability to build accounting processes and internal controls from the ground up, including SOPs and automation.
• Experience managing a team through monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audits.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite to streamline close and reporting.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own the review and approval of monthly financing accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Build scalable, automated financial processes and controls for prime financing, drafting SOPs to reduce manual work and support SOX.
• Lead the team through monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audit processes, ensuring audit-ready deliverables.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to interpret SEC regulations and lending practices into accounting guidance.
• Drive design and implementation of new controls for platform and brokerage accounting as the business scales.
