Job summary

Kanner & Pintaluga, a leading law firm, seeks an Accounting Manager in Boca Raton to support financial reporting and controls. The role reports to the CFO and oversees ledger accuracy, journal entries, and internal reporting.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, strong Excel and Sage Intacct proficiency, and excellent communication skills to drive timely, accurate financial results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Minimum of eight years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (with an emphasis on Excel).
• Proficient with full cycle accounting software (with an emphasis on Sage Intacct).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise staff to ensure assignments are completed accurately and timely.
• Provide ongoing constructive feedback via annual performance reviews.
• Review general ledger balance sheet account schedules for accuracy and visibility.
• Review statements to identify trends, variances and errors.
• Create monthly, quarterly and year-end journal entries for accruals and reclassifications.
• Produce schedules and commentary for financial statements presented to leadership.
• Prepare special financial reports by analyzing operational and financial information.
• Gather reports for external auditors.
• Suggest improvements to accounting and reporting procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
