Job summary

Kanner & Pintaluga, a well-established law firm in Boca Raton, seeks an Accounting Supervisor to manage day-to-day financial processes and ensure accurate reporting. The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting, GAAP knowledge, 6+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency with Excel and Sage Intacct.

You will lead payables/receivables staff, prepare monthly and year-end entries, and collaborate with leadership to improve procedures and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise accounts payable/receivable staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide ongoing feedback via annual performance reviews.
• Review general ledger balance sheet schedules for accuracy.
• Analyze balance sheet, income and cash flow statements for variances.
• Create monthly, quarterly and year-end journal entries for accruals.
• Prepare special financial reports for leadership.
• Gather documents for external auditors as needed.
• Suggest improvements to accounting and reporting procedures.
