Job summary

Lawn Management Company (LMC) in Houston seeks an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and partner with operations to strengthen financial performance. You’ll report to the Director of Accounting, own the close process, and drive accurate reporting while guiding a growing organization.

This hands-on leadership role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong GL and controls, and an ability to mentor staff. Travel to branch locations may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience in a multi-location, service-based environment.
• Experience leading or supervising accounting teams and developing others.
• Strong general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Willingness to travel to Houston area branches and pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, GL, reconciliations, AP/AR, accruals and month-end close.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reporting packages, and variance analyses.
• Partner with operations to drive budgeting, forecasting, and performance visibility.
• Supervise and coach accounting staff, promoting accountability and growth.
• Improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and streamline workflows.
• Support audits, tax work, fixed assets, and other compliance needs.
• Think proactively to solve problems in a growing business.
