Job summary

Todd & Sargent, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for US and Canada projects. You will oversee the AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger, own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, and guide a capable team reporting to the CFO.

The role focuses on documented, repeatable processes, strong financial reporting, and timely compliance. You will manage payroll operations and be the system owner for our accounting software, driving continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting leadership or senior accounting experience.
• Degree in accounting (4-year or 2-year with equivalent experience).
• Strong command of payroll, benefits, close, AP/AR, and GL processes.
• Champions documented processes and consistent execution.
• Leads by example with a service mindset; construction industry a plus.
• Spanish language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the accounting department including AP, AR, payroll, and GL.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
• Manage office payroll and oversee U.S. field and Canada payroll and benefits.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with standards and laws.
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting for CFO and project teams.
• Maintain corporate, contractor, and engineering registrations and licenses.
• Serve as super-user for accounting software and financial reporting.
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems.
