Job summary

Impulse Space, based in Redondo Beach, is seeking an Accounting Manager to maintain accurate financial records and strengthen accounting processes. This on-site role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and collaborates with cross-functional partners to support close activities and scalable controls.

You will lead day-to-day accounting, ensure compliance with US GAAP, and help build robust policies while mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or similar systems and Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare schedules and analyses for P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Assist audits, tax, and external reporting as needed.
• Mentor junior accounting staff as the team grows.
