Job summary

Monadnock Family Services seeks an organized Accounting Manager to streamline accounting workflows, with a primary focus on accounts payable and vendor management. You will work with the fractional Controller and finance team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls across grants and reporting processes.

The role supports month-end close, audits, and financial reporting, while improving systems, documentation, and cross-department communication to sustain reliable day-to-day

Qualifications

• Strong accounting background with a focus on accounts payable and finance operations.
• Experience with nonprofit, healthcare, or grant-funded organizations is helpful.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and organize accounting workflows with emphasis on accounts payable and payment processing.
• Monitor invoices, approvals, vendor activity, deadlines, documentation, and recurring financial obligations.
• Support grant-related financial activity including coding, documentation, reporting, and compliance files.
• Coordinate priorities and ensure process consistency across assigned responsibilities.
• Identify discrepancies and control issues early and communicate with finance leadership.
• Support month-end and year-end close, audits, and financial reporting with timely, accurate information.
• Provide guidance and training to assigned finance staff.
