Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a seasoned accounting leader to supervise month-end close, prepare internal and external financial reporting, and analyze accounts. You will oversee GL, AP, cash, fixed assets, and capital expenditures, while guiding teams through changes and maintaining internal controls.

Strong GAAP, SOX, and communication skills are essential. Experience in high-volume transaction environments and proficiency in Excel/Access are expected, with CPA/MBA preferred for

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience including supervisory experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
• Strong understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change positively.
• Working knowledge and analytical skills to make independent judgments in relation to complex accounting processes and the business.
• Strong computer and analytical skills - High proficiency in Excel, working knowledge of Access.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
• Supervise and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close for company.
• Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliation and analysis.
• Direct activities of teams responsible for general ledger accounting, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, and related capital expenditure accounting.
• Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources.
• Effectively lead team(s) through change.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger.
• Ensure transactions are performed within a sound internal control environment.
• Perform financial analysis as required.
• Prepare various ad hoc reports, conduct analyses, and complete special projects as required.
• Recommend and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Prepare and review schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
