Private Equity-Backed Food Manufacturing Company in South Orange County is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the monthly close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, manufacturing inventory oversight, and a track record of improving processes and internal controls while supporting audits and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with general ledger and month-end close activities.
• Manufacturing industry experience with inventory accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Prepare and review GAAP-based financial statements and reporting.
• Analyze results and explain variances to senior leadership.
• Oversee inventory accounting, including standard costing and valuations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
