Job summary

Zenith American Solutions, Inc. seeks a Manager, Accounting to lead the Accounting Department for a national enterprise.

You will oversee month and year-end close, AP/AR, journal entries, and financial analysis while enhancing internal controls and ensuring GAAP compliance. Responsibilities include developing staff, coordinating annual audits, producing ad hoc reports, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field required.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a complex accounting unit.
• In-depth understanding of GAAP principles and standards.
• Advanced computer skills with MS Office (including Excel) and accounting software.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Knowledge of corporate accounting best practices with a track record of accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to interact with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Accounting Department.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Review journal entries, analysis, and reconciliations.
• Develop and train Accountants and Shared Services staff.
• Perform monthly revenue review and accrual analysis.
• Coordinate the annual audit and assist with explanations of variances.
• Document processes to strengthen internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvements and staff assignment for accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze ad hoc reports as needed.
