Steven Douglas is partnering with a multi-location retail organization to hire an Accounting Manager for its Finance and Accounting team. This role ensures accurate financial records, leads the close, and collaborates with departments to drive sound business decisions.

The role involves daily accounting, monthly/quarterly/year-end close, journal entries, reporting, audits, and implementing robust controls. Strong Excel, GAAP knowledge, and SAP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required or equivalent mix of education/experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or general ledger experience.
• Solid command of U.S. GAAP and strong technical accounting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities and serve as main point of contact for Finance.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely results.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting docs for GL integrity.
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting and variance analyses.
• Support annual audit by compiling schedules and responding to requests.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls; document procedures.
