Steven Douglas is partnering with a multi-location retail organization to hire a Senior Manager of Accounting. This leader will run core accounting operations, build scalable processes, and develop a high-performing team, while keeping financial reporting accurate, timely, and audit ready.

Responsibilities include overseeing the close, mentoring staff, ensuring US GAAP compliance, supporting audits, and driving automation and system improvements across the finance function.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA license.
• 7–9+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience building and scaling accounting processes.
• Experience leading accounting teams.
• Proficiency with SAP or comparable ERP; advanced Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Direct corporate accounting functions including general ledger and close.
• Lead and grow a team of accounting professionals.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity via reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX controls.
• Support audits and document internal controls.
• Drive process automation and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, IT and other partners.
• Lead complex projects like system implementations and new standards.
• Balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
