Job summary

Haseko Hawaii, Inc. in Ewa Beach, HI, seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting Department. The role manages month-end/year-end closes, financial reporting, audits, and multi-entity accounting operations in a real estate development environment.

Responsibilities include overseeing GL accounting, tax filings support, intercompany reconciliations, budgeting, and management reporting. Collaboration with HR on payroll and benefits is essential, with emphasis on process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliations, auditing, and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate audit preparation and serve as a key contact during external audits.
• Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and internal control compliance activities.
• Review intercompany transactions, allocations, and reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Partner with HR and other departments on payroll, benefits, and financial reconciliations as needed.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen accounting procedures and controls.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to accounting staff.
