Haseko Hawaii, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our Accounting Department. This position will play a key role in managing financial reporting, month-end and year-end close processes, audit support, general ledger accounting, compliance, and multi-entity accounting operations. The role supports a diversified organization involved in real estate development and related business operations.
What You'll Do
- Manage and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare and review financial reports, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Oversee general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Coordinate audit preparation and serve as a key contact during external audits.
- Support tax filings, regulatory reporting, and internal control compliance activities.
- Review intercompany transactions, allocations, and reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
- Partner with HR and other departments on payroll, benefits, and financial reconciliations as needed.
- Identify process improvements and strengthen accounting procedures and controls.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to accounting staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, account reconciliations, auditing, and U.S. GAAP.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation or CPA candidate.
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience in real estate development, construction, property management, or related industries.
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
- Familiarity with Timberline/Sage, ADP, or similar accounting systems.
