Job summary

Sayva Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to lead audit readiness, support an ERP transition, and strengthen accounting processes during a period of growth. The position is remote with PST hours, 3+ months with potential for longer engagement.

You will work closely with finance leadership, manage projects independently, and deliver GAAP-compliant financial reporting and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Strong accounting experience at the Manager level with GAAP expertise.
• Experience preparing for external audits; first-time audit experience preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite; ERP implementations are a plus.
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit readiness initiatives and prepare financial schedules and documentation for the first financial statement audit.
• Coordinate with finance leadership and external auditors to facilitate audit requests and deliverables.
• Support transition to a new ERP system including data validation and accounting activities.
• Evaluate current accounting practices and recommend process improvements for internal controls.
• Own accounting projects and deliverables with minimal supervision in a lean finance team.
• Hands-on support with general ledger, reconciliations, and other accounting functions as needed.

We are partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant to support several key accounting initiatives during an important period of growth and transition. This individual will play a critical role in preparing the organization for its first financial statement audit, supporting an accounting system implementation, and strengthening existing accounting processes. Working closely with finance leadership, the ideal candidate will bring a strong technical accounting background, the ability to independently manage projects, and a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving. This is a remote consulting opportunity offering meaningful project ownership and the potential for a longer‑term engagement.

Duration: 3+ months

Location: Remote (PST hours)

Compensation: $65-$75/hr (W-2)

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead audit readiness initiatives, including preparing financial schedules, reconciling accounts, and organizing supporting documentation for the company's first financial statement audit.
• Coordinate with finance leadership and external auditors to facilitate audit requests, resolve outstanding items, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Support the transition to a new ERP system assisting with data validation, account reconciliations, and implementation‑related accounting activities.
• Evaluate existing accounting practices and recommend process improvements to strengthen financial reporting accuracy and internal controls.
• Take ownership of accounting projects and deliverables while working independently within a lean finance organization.
• Provide hands‑on support with general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and other accounting functions as business needs arise.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address accounting challenges and establish scalable processes that support continued growth.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Strong accounting experience at the Accounting Manager level, with demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, audit readiness, and GAAP accounting.
• Prior experience preparing for and supporting external financial statement audits; first‑time audit experience highly preferred.
• Experience working with QuickBooks and/or NetSuite, ideally including accounting system implementations or ERP transitions.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
• Proven ability to independently manage projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver results with minimal oversight.
• Hands‑on, adaptable professional who is comfortable navigating both strategic accounting initiatives and detailed transactional work.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with finance leadership and external partners.
• Prior experience within the biotechnology, medical technology, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries preferred.
