Job summary

The role requires 7+ years of accounting, GAAP mastery, SOX compliance, and proven supervisory ability in a high-volume environment. CPA or MBA is preferred; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience in a high-volume transaction environment
• Strong understanding and application of GAAP
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change positively
• Working knowledge and analytical skills to make independent judgments in relation to complex accounting processes and the business
• Strong computer and analytical skills - High proficiency in Excel, working knowledge of Access

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution
• Supervise and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close for company
• Perform and/or review complex accounting reconciliation and analysis
• Direct activities of teams responsible for general ledger accounting, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, and related capital expenditure accounting
• Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and efficient use of resources
• Effectively lead team(s) through change
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger
• Ensure transactions are performed within a sound internal control environment
• Perform financial analysis as required
• Prepare various ad hoc reports, conduct analyses, and complete special projects as required
• Recommend and ensure adherence to accounting policies
• Prepare and review schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits
• Perform other related duties as assigned
