Job summary

Airbyte is seeking an Accounting Manager to own daily accounting operations and reporting, with the goal of replacing manual processes and outsourced work with automated in-house workflows. You will oversee a Senior Accountant and an outsourced team, reporting to the Director of Finance and collaborating with cross-functional partners to implement scalable processes.

You will drive the close, support audits, and introduce AI-enhanced solutions to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with US GAAP and ASC 606/ASC 842.
• Strong automation mindset and experience redesigning workflows.
• Proven ability to manage in-house and outsourced accounting functions.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, close) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead month-end close and drive automation.
• Manage Senior Accountant and outsourced team, transitioning work in-house.
• Prepare for audits, including memos and controls documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data integrity across systems.
• Explore AI-driven automation to improve close and operations.
